Shekha qualified in 2005 from Guy’s King’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. After experience in general practice as well as Oral Surgery, Restorative and Periodontology hospital jobs she realised her passion and embarked on a 4 year Masters in Periodontology at Guy’s Hospital.
She completed this with honours in 2012 and has since worked in private practice providing periodontal and implant treatment. Further to this, she has worked at the Eastman Hospital Periodontology Department treating complex referral patients as well as teaching postgraduate students.
She has always been actively involved in the British Society of Periodontology and sat on the council as Commercial Liaisons Officer from 2013 to 2019. She has also taught extensively at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and has taught on MFGDP MJDF and ORE revision courses for post graduate exams and has been an examiner for MFGDP postgraduate diplomas.
Shekha is passionate about promoting good oral health both at home and abroad. She has carried out volunteer work to treat dental disease and highlight the importance of good oral health in Vietnam, Nepal and India and is keen to do more in the future.
Shekha is a fully registered, highly capable and experienced specialist and is happy to receive referrals for Chronic Periodontal treatment- providing both non surgical and surgical care.
She particularly enjoys regenerative surgical approaches and Aesthetic Periodontal cases- crown lengthening, mucogingival recession coverage and ridge augmentation. She is also happy to provide implant treatment at the practice.
